BIPARTISAN BULLSHIT Over the years, due to the weakening of the federal government's power, the political parties has become the most dominating factor in decisions made by the leaders. The two main parties have grown in power; at times it truly seems that they are all that is left of a central government. The citizens decide who to vote for simply because "the party supports them" or simply "they are a Republican" or "they are a Democrat." The parties made this easy and even supported it. Things such as who truly wants to help the country do not matter anymore. The party in which everyone belongs has great control over it's party members. Members no longer made decisions themselves , but because the party said that it is a right decision. The party provides such an easy way to vote. Besides pressure on individuals our representative are also influenced by the party. They have to vote the way the party says or face being criticized by fellow party members. Besides having people vote specifically the party's way the party does not actually care about America. Though the individual members for the most part do, the parties as a whole always put the party first. Then even going further the leaders put themselves before anything. The sense of "what is right for America" has been swallowed up by the parties. It does not matter to them. It is always what is best for the party that matters to them. This political corruption adds another blow to the already weakening Federal Government, since the decisions made by the parties are not really what the people want, but rather benefit the parties themselves. |

Subjugated Freedom? Our country has always seemed to take on a trend towards individual freedom. America has inevitably developed into an advanced and diverse country, but at what cost? Our freedom. It appears that in the last century the system our founding fathers created gave us liberty, but at some point it had to be given back to fit our changing society. In the 1960s the Civil Rights Movement had the goal of equality. It is hard to even believe today, that such a struggle could even occur in our country. Furthermore, ideas of affirmative action and "reverse discrimination" never persisted past the year 2000. The harmonic and diverse society of today would indeed be considered a utopia in the 1960s. But our rights are not based completely on our skin color. For example, the immigrant of America is rarely discriminated against, but immigration legislation has gradually tightened in the past, and Congress continues to propose new bills towards immigrant regulation. Our population has increased, but has it reached a point in which Americans close their doors from foreign areas? Even now it seems that even though we close our doors, we are still being monitored. Video surveillance law enforcement was a necessity to deter the hopeless crime rate, but it unquestionably invades the privacy of law abiding citizens that frequent the streets. But the accused criminals aren't exempt from society's tilt downhill. Capital punishment forces extreme violators of the law to pay dearly for their deeds. Not only has the general public come to live with the fact that its okay to kill these hopeless individuals, but we also felt it necessary to speed the whole process up by limiting the number of appeals to two. Perhaps the most prominent bind on the citizens are talks about legislation regulating interstate travel. Legislation within states has greatly increased over the years, and as the legislation begins to effect the people of the state more and more, even more citizens will settle in states that accommodate for them. Therefore, the progress of America cannot be considered productive in all aspects. A constant tradeoff between two things persists as we try to develop a near perfect society. Next time when you say to yourself, "Look how far we've come", ask yourself "Just how far have we fallen back?" |

--Retirement-- Do you love your parents? Your grandparents? Your great-grandparents? Your great-great grandparents? Of course you do. That's why you want them to have the best, even at the end of their lives. And giving them the best means bringing them to Pre Limitation House. The automated retirement center home is the premier rest clinic in all of New York State. We have received four stars from several magazines written for older people, such as Elderly Quarterly and The New York Old Times. Our patient care is top of the line, as evidenced by our lack of any complaints. The price may not be as low as some of the other rest clinics in the state, but they provide only minimal comfort to your loved ones. Don't you want your relative's last few hours on Earth to be pleasant, as well as their thoughts about you? Although Happy Ending is officially a rest clinic, we like to think of ourselves as a rest house. We begin the process almost immediately after the patient is brought to us, placing them in a cylinder where sleeping gas is released. After they are asleep, the chemical soma is released, causing no pain or disturbance whatsoever. There are some people out there who want to cheat their relatives out of a fast and easy rest by not even bringing them to a rest clinic. They bring them to a retirement home, as was the custom half a century ago, at ages as early as 125, waiting all alone for years before they pass away. Death is actually welcomed by them, which is horrible. Other young people will keep their loved ones at home. This may seem sweet, but it is a dangerous practice. We must not revert to the ignorant customs of the 1800's and earlier. It has been proven that most people don't know how to adequately care for very aged individuals, and a wedge is driven in between them. Also, you cannot expect that someone will automatically rest before they reach 140. If the deadline is rolling around soon, you must take action. Send your friend or family member to the Pre Limitation house, and make everyone happy. -Paid Advertisement |
