Ever since the problem arose at the turn of the millennium the U.S.

government and the FDA have been working fervently to pass legislation

that would restrict and control genetic engineering and cloning. The Gene

Therapy Act of 2015 stated that genetic engineering would only be used to eliminate harmful and potentially fatal diseases in the fetus before birth and not to enhance ones genes and create a "superhuman". The Cloning Free Act of 2025 completely banned cloning in the United States and all its territories except for organ transplants and such, and then only in extreme cases.

With the new neural mapping technology, new legislation has to be made. This new technology could help mentally disturbed individuals all over, and determine what affect certain drugs have on the brain specifically. A bill that bans neural mapping for purposes of being transferred into a cloned body is already on its way to being passed. While cloning is illegal in the U.S. it is still legal in many other countries across the globe. In addition, clones are allowed to live in the U.S. as long as they wear a gene tag, so as not to confuse them with their 'parent'. Genetic engineering too is allowed in numerous countries around the world, and more and more parents are taking matters out of natures' hands and putting them into the hands of a doctor- a doctor with a degree in genetic engineering, to enhance the genes before birth, to heighten intelligence, hand-eye coordination, beauty, strength, speed, etc.  Before long, other countries are producing thousands of genetically enhanced people, and to compete, the U.S. lifts the ban on genetic engineering, in 2098, the New Gene Act. The government takes control of genetic engineering, and all babies born after 2100 are to be genetically engineered.  The U.S. is also on the verge of passing legislation limiting or even the segregation of normal people and genetically enhanced people. Since most normal people cannot compete with genetically enhanced humans, discussion is taking place of whether ones' genetic history should be public knowledge, much like the topic of 1998, when people questioned whether a person should be notified if they live near an ex-con. The NAAAP (National Association for the Advancement of ALL people) is lobbying for integration and brother among all people; black, white, brown, yellow, normal and genetically enhanced, clones and norms (normal people)….so hopefully one day we can all live together without bias, prejudice and in peace.

To Enervate Crime We Must Pay

A unique invention has been put to use last year.  It has been perfected continuously for a number of decades and finally emerged in December of last year. I am of course speaking of the x-ray GPS satellite. Trial by jury is now no longer needed to establish the guilt or innocence of the defendant.  The satellite  determines this for us because it monitors all the moves of all the people in the world.

An issue of privacy has resulted in the establishment of a totally monitored society.  People are being monitored at all times so that

the judicial process will become more expeditious. They are under the continuous surveillance of

the satellite. Although nobody has access to the satellite, except for the judiciary police, it is a perturbance of sorts to be watched at all times even when you go to the bathroom. Only when it is absolutely necessary, such as a trial, the data from the satellite will be elicited. This data will be presented to the virtual jury and this evidence will be so concrete that convictions will be expedited.

.

The constitution's Fourteenth Amendment, namely the rights to

life, liberty (including freedom to privacy), and property has been

altered to allow the truth machine to exist.  At first, people were

thrilled with a machine which would seemingly decrease crime.  Soon,

however, privacy seemed to be lacking for them.

A campaign has been launched to show all of the advantages of the

x-ray satellite to the public and the statistics showing the truly

significant crime decrease are once again winning support for the "See All Satellite".

Changes in the Courtroom

Courtroom trials have changed a great deal.  With videos and computers playing a great role, virtual courtroom trials have become increasingly popular.  Judges, jurors, attorney, and others are no longer required to gather at the same place for the trial.  The trial can go on by communication through computers and videos.  This has resulted in greater convenience along with better protection of witnesses and jurors.

Another addition to the courtroom is artificial intelligence.  It acts as both judge and jury in a trial.  Evidence is entered and the program receives witness testimony through voice-recognition software.  Fuzzy logic and data from voice-stress analysis is used to evaluate the testimony.  Compiling all the data given, it comes to a decision in which the judge decides whether or not to carry out.

Although it is not being used in all courtrooms throughout the United States, the numbers are increasing.  In past trials, it has proven to be accurate and useful.  There is speculation over whether or not there will be a need for jurors later on.

A global culture has developed, with cheap, user-friendly telecommunications.  Ignoring the national boundaries that separate them, people from different nations have come together.  However, as the global culture has increased, there has been a decrease in local cultures.  One effect is the disappearance of hundreds of languages.  The number of spoken languages is down from several thousand to 250-600.

English has become the dominant international language between nations.  Countries dealing with business between other nations have found it a necessity to speak English, for it is the main language for communication among foreign countries.  English is also being taught to young children in most countries.
